Located just 35 miles from I-77, the Ashland Resort is your
southern gateway to the
Hatfield-McCoy Trail System! Whether you are interested in
tackling those world-famous trails, taking in some southern
history, or just visiting for peaceful trip amongst the beautiful
mountain colors, Ashland Resort has everything you will need to
unwind – however you choose.
Our on-site camp store is well equipped to supply your
adventure, with everything from ATV parts and riding gear to
groceries, firewood and gasoline. Hungry? Stop by our Coal Camp
Café and browse our wide array of locally made crafts and
furniture while you wait on a delicious homemade meal.
When you are not on the trails, you can take a short drive to
Welch, WV and see local actors reenacting the areas history at the
McArts Center, or visit the historical site where Sheriff Sid
Hatfield was gunned down on courthouse steps by Baldwin-Felts
Detectives due to the result of the famous Matewan Massacre.
